Statz Painting has been in business for 56 years. It is a Family owned and Operated Company with dedicated employees, trained to provide superior service and customer satisfaction.

The company was founded in 1949 by Herbert M. Statz. It was originally named Statz & Harrop Painting and focused solely on residential painting.

By the mid 70's the company expanded into steel stud framing and drywall installation. The first large commercial project that was completed as a steel stud and drywall contractor was West and East Towne Malls in Madison, WI.

In 1996, the company split the painting and steel studs divisions. Statz Painting & Decorating started under the vision and leadership of Larry G Statz and Michael Statz, concentrating solely on the painting and decorating end. The company’s main focus is commercial and residential painting, wall covering, floor finishing, and residential drywall, taping and finishing.

Statz Painting is a union sub-contractor and employs 40-45 employees. The company prides itself on the knowledge their project managers, foremen, journeymen, and apprentices have when it comes to decorative finishes. Each employee is sent through a three year apprenticeship training program. Through continuing education they are able to stay on the cutting edge of technology, providing customers with the newest techniques in painting and decorating.
